Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 13, 2026
WashQuoter ("we", "our", "us") is quoting software for pressure-washing contractors, operated at washquoter.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep the data we hold deliberately small.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: when you register as an operator, we collect your name and email address so we can create and secure your account.
- Business and quote details: the business name, phone, email, logo, rates, and the customer details and job information you enter to generate a quote. We use these solely to build and deliver the quotes you create.
- Payment details are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVC, or expiry. Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor; your card data goes directly to Stripe. We receive only a confirmation that payment succeeded and a limited record (such as the last four digits and a transaction ID) for billing and refunds.
- Support communications: when you email us, we retain that correspondence so we can help you.
2. Analytics: cookieless, no personal data, no consent banner
We measure aggregate traffic with Fathom Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics service. Fathom sets no cookies, collects no personal data, does no cross-site or cross-device tracking, and does not build advertising profiles. Because it collects no personal data and sets no cookies, our analytics are compliant with the GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA, and the UK PECR without requiring a cookie-consent banner. That is why you do not see one. We cannot use Fathom data to identify you.
3. We do not sell or share your personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA. We do not have, and will not create, any such data-sale program. We do not use your data, or your customers' data, for advertising.
4. Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. Because we do not sell or share personal information in the first place, a GPC signal does not change what we do, but we treat any GPC signal as a valid opt-out request and will continue to not sell or share your data.
5. How we use your information
- To provide and maintain the quoting service and your operator account.
- To generate quotes and, when you choose, email them to your customers on your behalf.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To respond to support requests and send account-related notices.
- To keep basic, non-identifying records required for accounting and fraud prevention.
We do not send marketing newsletters unless you explicitly opt in.
6. Third-party processors
- Stripe: payment processing. Stripe handles all card data directly and is PCI-DSS certified. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Fathom Analytics: cookieless, privacy-first website analytics. Fathom Privacy Policy
- Mailgun: transactional email delivery, used to send quotes to your customers and account emails to you. Mailgun Privacy Policy
7. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers, transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections, with sensitive data encrypted at rest. Business details and custom rates you configure in the calculator as a guest are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not transmitted to our servers unless you generate a quote. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit the personal data we hold precisely to reduce risk.
8. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active, and quote data for the duration of your subscription. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law, tax, or accounting obligations. Payment records held by Stripe are retained under Stripe's own policies.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR/UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to restrict or object to processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, which we do not do. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
10. Children's privacy
WashQuoter is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. International users
We operate from the United States. If you access WashQuoter from outside the US, you understand your information will be processed in the US and other jurisdictions where our processors (such as Stripe, Fathom, and Mailgun) operate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
