Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 21, 2026

1. Introduction

WashQuoter ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. This policy applies to all users of washquoter.com and our related services.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and payment information (processed securely by Stripe).
  • Quote Data: Customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, job addresses, and quote details you enter into the calculator.
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, and interactions with the application. We use Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track personal data.
  • Communications: When you email us or contact support, we retain those communications.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain our quoting service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send quotes to your customers on your behalf via email
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests
  • To improve our product based on usage patterns (via privacy-respecting analytics)

4. Third-Party Processors

We use the following third-party services to operate WashQuoter:

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe handles all credit card data directly and is PCI-DSS compliant. We never store your full card details. Stripe Privacy Policy
  • Fathom Analytics — Privacy-focused website analytics. Fathom does not use cookies, does not track personal data, and is fully GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant. Fathom Privacy Policy
  • Mailgun — Transactional email delivery. Used to send quotes to your customers and account-related emails to you. Mailgun Privacy Policy

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL) for data in transit and encrypt sensitive data at rest. Business details and custom rates you configure in the calculator are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not transmitted to our servers unless you generate a quote.

6. Your Rights Under GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

  • Right of Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to Restriction: Request that we restrict processing of your data.
  • Right to Data Portability: Request a machine-readable copy of your data.
  • Right to Object: Object to processing of your personal data for certain purposes.

7. Your Rights Under CCPA

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal data)
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

8. Cookies

WashQuoter does not use tracking cookies. We use Fathom Analytics, which is fully cookie-free. Your browser's localStorage is used to persist your business settings and custom rates for your convenience — this data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

9. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Quote data is retained for the duration of your subscription. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

10. Children's Privacy

WashQuoter is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
